श्रीभगवानुवाच |
अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे |
गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः ||२-११||
śrībhagavānuvāca .
aśocyānanvaśocastvaṃ prajñāvādāṃśca bhāṣase .
gatāsūnagatāsūṃśca nānuśocanti paṇḍitāḥ ||2-11||
Translation
The Lord said: You grieve for those who need not be grieved for, yet speak words of wisdom. The wise do not mourn either the dead or the living.

भगवान ने कहा: तुम उनके लिए शोक करते हो जिनके लिए शोक नहीं करना चाहिए, और बोलते ज्ञान की बातें हो। ज्ञानी जीवितों या मृतकों के लिए शोक नहीं करते।
